The Nasyam Process

  • The therapist administers the herbal preparation through the nasal passages using a specialized tube or dropper.
  • The individual retains the herbal preparation for a specified period, usually 5-10 minutes.
  • The individual expectorates the mucus and excess herbal preparation.

Contraindications

  • Nasyam is contraindicated in individuals with nasal polyps.
  • Nasyam should not be performed immediately after nasal surgery.
  • Nasyam should not be performed during acute respiratory infections, such as common cold or flu.
